Akasa Air Is Launching Flights From NMIA This Christmas

By the end of December, the airline would have established connections to four Indian cities from the Navi Mumbai International Airport.

The latest airport from which Akasa Air will begin operations is also one of the newest in India: Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). The airline has confirmed that starting next month, it will connect NMIA with four Indian cities. These are Delhi, Kochi, Goa, and Ahmedabad.

What are the dates when the flights will start?

On December 25, 2025, Akasa Air will start once-daily nonstop flights to Delhi and Goa. The next day, direct flights to Kochi will launch on Friday and Saturday. The same NMIA-Kochi link will switch to a thrice-a-week affair from December 28, 2025, operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Then, on December 31, 2025, the airline will launch nonstop service once a week (Wednesday) to Ahmedabad from NMIA.

On what scale has Akasa Air planned to expand operations at NMIA?

The airline operates 34 weekly flights from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Akasa Air will gradually establish NMIA as a significant base of operations, with plans for up to 300 domestic and 50 international weekly departures, particularly into key markets across the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Furthermore, it aims to ramp up to 10 parking bases by the end of FY2027.
