Air Serbia Will Restart Direct Flights To Toronto Next Year

The Canadian city will become the airline’s third destination in North America.

Reestablishing Connections

After a gap of more than 30 years, Air Serbia is set to resume direct flights between Belgrade and Toronto, starting on May 23, 2026. The last service between the cities was a JAT-operated flight in May 1992. Once live, Toronto will become the third destination in North America for Air Serbia, alongside New York and Chicago. Earlier this year, Air Serbia restarted the nonstop service to Geneva.

Flights and Tickets

Air Serbia will operate two weekly flights between Belgrade and Toronto, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The job of flying travellers from one town to another will be done using Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Serbia’s flag carrier confirms that the tickets for this route will go on sale from October 16, 2025.

A Win-Win

Air Serbia has decided to reinstate the Belgrade-Toronto service, not only to strengthen tourism and commercial ties between Serbia and Canada, but also to serve the large Serbian diaspora residing in Toronto. Additionally, for those planning to explore Serbia or other parts of Europe, Air Serbia’s service to Belgrade provides access to several destinations, including Athens, Zurich, Bucharest, Budapest, Prague, Tivat, Istanbul, and Zagreb, among others.
