Air India Express To Expand Network With Three New Destinations

Operations at all three will commence in September 2025, with nonstop flights to and from Bengaluru.

Expanding Domestic Presence

Next month, Air India Express will commence flights to and from three new domestic destinations: Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun. To begin with, nonstop services from all three new cities will ferry passengers to Bengaluru. Introductory fares per sector start at INR 4,100 on the airline’s website and other authorised booking channels.

What Are The Flight Timings And Frequency With Ahmedabad?

Air India Express will link Ahmedabad and Chandigarh with Karnataka’s capital on September 1, 2025, with two daily nonstop services. From Bengaluru, the first flight will depart at 07:55 and the second at 19:55, reaching Ahmedabad at 10:30 and 22:30, respectively. Those travelling from the city in Gujarat to Bengaluru can board an Air India Express flight departing at 11:00 or 23:00. They will arrive at 13:25 and 01:30 the next day, respectively. The airline has mentioned that although the flight timings have been decided, the second daily service will only go live from September 16, 2025.

Two Flights Per Day From And To Chandigarh

Air India Express will begin operating two daily direct services between Chandigarh and Bengaluru. The first flight will depart from Bengaluru at 13:15 and the second at 20:00, concluding their journeys at 16:10 and 22:55, respectively. Those travelling in the opposite direction can either board an Air India Express flight at 16:40 or 23:25. Those services will reach Bengaluru at 19:40 and 02:25 the next day, respectively.

The Bengaluru-Dehradun Connection

The airline will operate one daily service on the Bengaluru-Dehradun route, starting September 15, 2025. The flight from Bengaluru will depart at 12:50, arriving in Uttarakhand’s capital at 16:00. The return leg will leave Dehradun at 16:30 and land in Bengaluru at 19:30.

Bengaluru Opens Various Routes

Those travelling to Bengaluru with Air India Express from any of the three newly announced cities above can find direct and indirect flight connections to various domestic and international destinations. The carrier operates over 405 weekly flights from Bengaluru, providing direct links with 34 domestic and three international destinations, and one-stop service to five domestic and 14 overseas destinations.
