Strengthening Bengaluru Links with the Middle East
Following the announcement of direct flights to Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Bangkok from Bengaluru last month, Air India Express is back with yet another development on the same lines. The low-cost carrier has confirmed that it will link Karnataka’s capital, its biggest hub, with three new international destinations: Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.
Flight Schedules
The flight between Bengaluru and Jeddah is scheduled to be inaugurated on October 26, 2025. The service will operate thrice a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The Air India Express flight will depart from Bengaluru at 17:45 and arrive in Jeddah at 21:30. The return service will depart at 22:30 and conclude its journey the next day at 06:40.

Similarly, Air India Express will operate three weekly flights to Riyadh and Kuwait from Bengaluru starting October 27, 2025. The outbound flights from India’s IT hub will depart at 22:20 for Kuwait and 21:00 for Riyadh and are expected to reach their destinations at 00:50 and 00:20, respectively. The service to Kuwait will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, while that to Riyadh will fly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Those travelling in the opposite direction from Riyadh or Kuwait to Bengaluru will board one of the three weekly services planned to start on October 28, 2025. From Kuwait, the flight will depart at 01:50 and arrive in Bengaluru at 09:20 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. From Riyadh, the service will depart at 01:20 and arrive in Bengaluru at 08:55 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Bookings Open
Air India Express states that bookings for all three newly announced routes can be made through its official website, mobile app, and other third-party channels. As far as fares are concerned, the Bengaluru-Riyadh route starts at INR 13,500 (SAR 505 for the opposite sector), while ticket prices for the Bengaluru-Jeddah route start at INR 19,500 (SAR 570 for the opposite sector). The Bengaluru-Kuwait route is available for as low as INR 13,600 (KWD 27 for the return sector).
