The KTM 450 SMR uses a 449.9cc SOHC single‑cylinder engine with multiple engine maps. However, KTM hasn’t disclosed the exact power figures, but it has claimed that the engine is tuned to meet the FIM’s 109 dB noise limit for competition.
The KTM 450 SMR supermoto comes equipped with multiple handlebar‑selectable maps, switchable traction control, and launch control (activated by pressing traction control + Quickshifter together).
