Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has introduced its entry-level cruiser, the Rebel 300, as part of its premium BigWing motorcycle range. The new cruiser is positioned below Honda’s Rebel 500. The motorcycle also comes with an optional E-Clutch.

What engine does the Honda Rebel 300 use?

A 286cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine powers the Honda Rebel 300. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, designed to deliver relaxed and tractable power suitable for a cruiser.

The 286cc single-cylinder produces 30bhp at 8,000rpm and 27.4Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine comes with optional E-Clutch technology.

What is Honda E-Clutch technology?

Honda E-Clutch is an electronic clutch-assistance system that allows riders to start, stop and change gears without manually operating the clutch lever.

What frame and suspension does the Honda Rebel 300 use?

The Honda Rebel 300 uses a tubular steel frame. The exposed frame and subframe form an important part of the motorcycle’s bobber-inspired design. The frame supports Rebels low slung riding position and contributes towards the cruiser’s appearance. The motorcycle features a low 690mm seat height, which should make it accessible to a wide range of riders.

The Rebel 300 is equipped with a conventional suspension layout to suit the motorcycle’s relaxed, comfortable character. The suspension features telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.

What brakes does the Honda Rebel 300 have?

The Honda Rebel 300 comes equipped with a single 296mm hydraulic disc brake at the front and a 240mm hydraulic disc brake at the rear. It gets dual-channel ABS as standard, improving braking performance and safety.
