Huawei launches the new FreeClip 2 Special edition earbuds with Adaptive Audio Technology, expanded interior space and Adaptive Voice technology. The FreeClip 2 Special Edition was introduced alongside the Huawei Pura 90s Series at the Museum Of The Future in Dubai.
What is new with the Design?
The FreeClip 2 special edition is offered in two new colors. Deepsea Blue and Space Silver. It’s charging case features a liquid-metallic finish and a rounded design. Huawei says this is achieved through more than 100 precision manufacturing processes.
According to Huawei, each earbud weighs 5.1 grams and is made out of skin-friendly liquid silicone that undergoes 22 paint-mixing and spraying processes to get a high-gloss metallic finish.
What’s different with the charging case?
In addition to the materials and lightness, Huawei also says it has expanded the interior space of the charging case by 20% compared to the standard FreeClip 2 which can accommodate small personal accessories like earring clip-ons.
Huawei does not mention if there’s any changes to the battery capacity compared to the standard ClipFree 2
How does the adaptive Audio technology work?
The Huawei FreeClip 2 Special edition is powered by Huawei’s third-generation audio chip and an NPU AI processor.
Huawei says this helps the system adapts to the surrounding noise and automatically adjust the volume levels and voice clarity. This allows the earbuds to provide a more consistent listening experience as the user moves through different environments.
According to Huawei, the dual-diaphragm driver helps elevate low-frequency performance and volume output by 100% giving it clarity and depth.
Since the FreeClip 2 uses an open-ear design, it does not completely block external sounds, the adaptive audio technology is designed to compensate for changes in surrounding noise rather than isolate the wearer from it.
What is Adaptive Voice Enhancement?
Huawei states that the Adaptive Voice Enhancement works to improve the clarity of spoken content such as calls and audiobooks with the help of three sensitivity settings on the earbuds which will allow users to customize their experience. Huawei claims this is achievable by using a reverse sound waves system that automatically lowers the volume when transitioning into quiet environments.
How much does the Huawei FreeClip 2 Special Edition cost in the UAE?
The Huawei FreeClip 2 Special Edition is available for AED 749 and is available through Huawei’s official stores and selected retailers as well as their official website.
