What is the Bimota BX450 Enduro?

The Bimota BX450 Enduro is a newly launched off-road motorcycle from the Italian brand, based on the  Kawasaki KX450X platform, championing Bimota’s foray into the world of enduro racing. The BX450 perfectly represents Bimota’s premium racing pedigree, built on the proven Kawasaki platform.

The Bimota BX450 Enduro features a lightweight aluminium frame shared from the  Kawasaki KX450X platform. Suspended by the frame is a race-ready, fully adjustable suspension setup, with a 49 mm inverted telescopic front fork and a New Uni Trak system at the rear.

Is the BX450 just a styled-up off-road bike, or does it offer real tuning depth?

The BX450 is not being marketed as a styling exercise with badge engineering. Bimota describes the bike as a highly intuitive and tuneable offroad racer, allowing riders to configure the bike to different needs and conditions.

One of the suitable examples is the fuel tank setup offered on the motorcycle. The BX450 comes with two tank options, including a 10.7-litre standard tank and a smaller 6.2-litre tank, allowing riders to balance fuel range and bike weight more effectively.

What electronics and rider aids does the Bimota BX450 Enduro get?

The BX450 incorporates the ATHENA GET ECU with BX450-specific fuel-injection settings developed specifically for the BX450. The ATHENA GET ECU enables riders to switch between two racing maps, 10 levels of traction control, and launch control.

What engine does the new Bimota BX450 Enduro use?

The Bimota BX450 is powered by a  449 cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine derived from the Kawasaki KX450X platform.

Has the Bimota BX450 Enduro already proven itself in racing?

According to Bimota, the BX450 was developed through real-world competition, with early versions already taking part in Italian Motorally and Raid TT events, achieving multiple accolades along the way, such as winning races and even championships.
