What is the ALD Safari capsule?
They are a pair of Tiger and Zebra motif inspired watches that evoke “the spirit of the wild through an iridescent backdrop of mother-of-pearl dials with hand-inlaid black enamel striping.” Both models, the ALD Tiger MOP Watch (“Tiger”) and ALD Zebra MOP Watch (“Zebra”), have been designed by Emmanuel Gueit, a Swiss designer renowned for the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, Rolex 1908 and others. They are exclusively available as part of the brand’s ALD Diamonds Collection.

What do we think?
Founded in 1874, Anglo-American Dennison is a historical name in watchmaking, one that supplied cases to renowned brands such as Jaeger-LeCoultre, Omega and Rolex. Revived in late 2024 with the cushion-shaped ALD collection, the brand’s watches feature beautiful dials, a consistent design language (ALD is their only collection so far) and affordable prices. The brand’s Natural Stone Tiger Eye in Gold won the Challenge Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) awards ceremony held during November 13, 2025.

The Tiger and Zebra motif inspired models of the ALD Capsule Collection add a touch of old Hollywood Glamour to the cushion-shaped design. At CHF 3,850, they are priced significantly higher than the brand’s other models; however, their visual appearance makes it look as though they should cost a great deal more. Perfect for men and women collectors seeking a vintage-inspired, glamorous, and a slightly bling watch.
