Adventure Motorcycles to Watch in 2026: Top Upcoming ADV Bikes Set for India Launch

Adventure motorcycles are currently experiencing a significant uptrend globally, capturing a substantial market share. India, being one of the largest motorcycle markets, is not lagging in this trend. The country has witnessed a significant surge in ADV sales in the past few years, as consumers have taken a liking to the go-anywhere capabilities of the ADV segment. Currently, over 30 distinct models are competing in the segment in India, and a few more are set to join this competition in 2026.

1 BMW F 450 GS

BMW Motorrad initially planned to launch the F 450 GS in 2025, but due to logistical reason the launch had to be postponed till early 2026.

The BMW F 450 GS was unveiled with a positive reception at the global stage of EICMA, Milan. The F 450 GS is BMW’s entry-level lightweight adventure motorcycle.

The F 450 GS is powered  by a 420cc, liquid-cooled parallel twin engine capable of producing 48 hp and 43nm of torque. When launched, the expected price should be around Rs. 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom)

2 Norton Atlas

Fabled British motorcycle maker Norton made its comeback after a brief hiatus at EICMA last year, introducing four new models to spearhead its comeback.

The Norton Atlas is an ADV motorcycle from the brand, powered by a liquid-cooled 585cc parallel-twin engine producing approximately 70 hp.

Being owned by TVS Motors, an Indian manufacturer, there’s a high likelihood that Norton will officially step foot in the Indian market in the year 2026. Fog around more intricate details shall be cleared in the coming month.

3 KTM 390 Adventure R

KTM has formally confirmed the debut of the 390 Adventure R during its KTM adventure rally, with multiple sources citing the launch to be expected in late January or February of this year.

The 390 Adventure R is a step above the base 390 Adventure, meeting more hardcore demands from the trail enthusiasts with better and much more  advanced electronics and mechanical equipment to satiate the off-road enthusiasts.

The KTM 390 Adventure R is powered by a 399cc LC4c single-cylinder engine, 45 hp at 8500 rpm, and 39 Nm of torque, mated to a  6-speed slipper clutch gearbox.

4 CFMOTO 450 MT

CFMoto 450 MT is yet another interesting ADV motorcycle that is due to  launch in 2026 for the  Indian market.  It was initially destined to launch in early 2025, but the brand went back to the drawing board to make its motorcycle E20-compliant before it introduced it to the  Indian ecosystem.

The CFMoto 450 MT features a 449cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 44  hp at 8500 rpm and 44 Nm of torque at 6250 rpm. The Chinese maker is sure to launch the motorcycle soon, with the price tag hovering around Rs. 4.0 lakh ex-showroom.

5 Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr

Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr was due for an official launch during the India Bike Week 2025, much akin to the BMW F 450 GS. However, certain unseen factors pushed thenlaunch to 2026 and as per the sources, we should expect the official launch to take place during the first quarter of the year 2026.

The Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr features a 486cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 47.6 hp at 8500 rpm and 43 Nm at 6750 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.​ When launched, expect the price to be around Rs. 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
