Etihad Airways has announced the launch of seasonal flights to Palma de Mallorca, marking the only direct connection between Asia and the Balearic Islands. Beginning June 12, 2026, the carrier will operate three weekly services from Abu Dhabi, which will run until mid-September.
The move positions Palma de Mallorca not only as a Mediterranean escape but also as a gateway to Ibiza and the wider Balearics, offering travellers seamless access to golden beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant Spanish culture.
Etihad will operate the flights using a new Airbus A321LR, designed to deliver a widebody experience in a single-aisle aircraft. The aircraft features First Class with private suites and closing doors, Business with fully lie-flat beds in a 1-1 herringbone layout, and the Economy section, which provides comfortable legroom, quiet cabins, and personal entertainment at every seat.
