Parkin, In Partnership With charge&go By e&, Has Launched 200 Ultra-Fast EV Chargers In Dubai

Parkin, which operates approximately 212,000 paid parking spaces across Dubai, signed a ten-year memorandum of understanding with charge&go, a subsidiary of Etisalat Services Holding (ESH), one of the core arms of e&, in October 2024, during the annual GITEX Technology Week, the world’s largest technology and startup event. The agreement will see the launch of 200 ultra-fast DC charging stations.

The new charging network is scheduled to launch in October 2025. It will reduce electric vehicle charging times to under 30 minutes by installing advanced charging infrastructure in key destinations across Dubai, from high-density residential communities to major shopping and entertainment centres. The first phase of the electric vehicle charging initiative will install 20 charging stations in some of the city’s busiest locations. Over the next 12 months, the programme will provide 200 public and private charging points.

This project represents a crucial step in expanding Dubai’s electric vehicle network, designed to meet the evolving needs of over 40,000 electric vehicles and support Dubai’s long-term sustainable development and green mobility goals, in line with the Dubai Master Plan 2040.

Parkin and e& leverage technology to meet the needs of digitally savvy customers and support Dubai’s ongoing transformation into a sustainable, future-ready global city. This collaboration accelerates the adoption of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and expands the infrastructure needed to meet Dubai’s growing sustainable mobility ambitions.

Parkin’s parking and charging services will be available for booking through the user-friendly Parkin app, which provides real-time charging status updates and secure in-app payment.

The new DC charging network will operate under a strict “park and charge” protocol, allowing vehicles only to occupy designated charging spaces while charging. This measure will help reduce overstaying and unauthorised use of designated parking spaces.

The new electric vehicle charging initiative combines cutting-edge technology with accessible parking and charging facilities, reinforcing Parkin and e&’s commitment to providing value-added mobility services to customers.
