Techart Launches New Powerkits For The 992.2 911 Carrera & GTS

When it comes to tuning the Porsche 911, few names carry the same aura as Techart. The German tuner has now launched its first wave of performance upgrades for the latest 992.2 generation of the Porsche 911, targeting the Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera T, and GTS T-Hybrid models. While the base cars are already technological marvels in their own right, Techart’s upgrades promise a sharper, quicker, and more exhilarating experience, without compromising daily usability.

Techart Powerkit TA 092.2/C1: Carrera Gains

At the heart of Techart’s performance leap is the Techtronic engine control unit — a plug-and-play ECU enhancement that’s as subtle in its installation as it is dramatic in its impact.

With a modest hardware suite that includes the Techtronic ECU, wiring harness, and even a mounting bracket, Techart cranks output from 394hp to an impressive 505hp, while torque surges from 450Nm to 530Nm. That’s a 111 hp gain, or roughly +28%, with no internal engine changes.

0–100km/h drops from 4.1 seconds to 3.4 seconds, while 0–200km/h plunges from 14.4 seconds to 9.7 seconds. What’s even more impressive is the 100–200km/h acceleration — a blistering 6.2 seconds.

That’s supercar territory — in what’s still, technically, a “base” Carrera. Importantly, the kit is fully GPF-compatible and integrates seamlessly with OEM electronics, preserving all diagnostics and failsafe functions.

Techart Powerkit TA 092.2/S1.1: GTS Gains

The 992.2 GTS, already a performance benchmark thanks to its hybridised twin-turbo 3.6L engine, also receives the Techtronic treatment under the TA 092.2/S1.1 powerkit. While the upgrades here are a bit more conservative on paper, they’re still significant:

  • Power climbs from 541hp to 601hp
  • Torque is boosted from 610Nm to 720Nm
  • 0–100km/h improves slightly from 3.0s to 2.9s
  • 100–200km/h is done with, in 6.7 seconds

What Techart achieves here is more of a muscle enhancement than a reinvention. The GTS becomes even more potent in the midrange, a noticeable upgrade for those who want to feel a relentless surge every time they flatten the throttle.

All Go, No Gimmicks

Techart is adamant that this isn’t just about numbers. The upgrades retain full everyday usability, diagnostics compatibility, and require no permanent modifications to factory systems. That means you get a legitimate power boost with zero compromise — no warnings, no limp home modes, and full Porsche reliability preserved.

Unlike many aftermarket kits, Techart’s solution is also compatible with vehicles that do not feature Gasoline Particulate Filters (GPFs), widening its appeal to global markets.

Why It Matters To Enthusiasts

Let’s face it, Porsche’s modern turbocharged flat-six already responds beautifully to tuning, but Techart’s approach gives enthusiasts a legal, road-usable, OEM-grade power upgrade.

That means your Carrera T, often seen as the purist’s choice, now outguns a 991 Turbo in a straight line. And with a manual gearbox option, the visceral connection is preserved even while the stopwatch figures flirt with supercar performance.

And while official pricing is yet to be announced, the minimal hardware and seamless install process suggest that it won’t be astronomical, at least by Porsche standards. Enthusiasts seeking a sleeper 911 or a more aggressive GTS without taking the full GT3 route now have a compelling upgrade path.
