Air India And Singapore Airlines Announce 51 New Codeshare Destinations

The list comprises 11 cities across India and 40 international locations.

To offer customers more convenient travel options, Air India and Singapore Airlines have deepened their codeshare partnership by adding 51 new destinations. The list comprises 11 cities across India and 40 international locations. This is the first time since 2011 that the airlines have added an extensive list of destinations to their codeshare agreement.

Starting October 27, 2024, both airlines will codeshare each other’s services between Singapore and two Indian cities – Bengaluru and Chennai. Upon activation, the direct weekly flights of both carriers between Singapore and India will jump from 41 to 56.

Furthermore, Singapore Airlines will utilise Air India’s domestic network to provide codeshare convenience between Delhi and Amritsar, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Lucknow, and Varanasi. The same holds for services between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Goa, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram. The airline will also have codeshare on flights between Kolkata and Guwahati.

Singapore Airlines will also be able to connect to Air India’s overseas services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa from Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai. The list includes Copenhagen, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Nairobi, Amsterdam, Jeddah, Riyadh, Colombo, Birmingham, London-Gatwick, and London-Heathrow.

Air India, on the other hand, will have access to 29 destinations served by Singapore Airlines. The list includes seven cities in Australia: Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Other destinations include Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia, Denpasar, Jakarta, Medan and Surabaya in Indonesia, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo-Haneda and Tokyo-Narita in Japan, Busan and Seoul in South Korea, Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia, Auckland in New Zealand, Cebu and Manila in the Philippines, and Danang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

The airlines will continue to explore more destinations to add to their codeshare partnership. The codeshare for locations mentioned above will gradually become available on Air India’s and Singapore Airlines’ respective booking channels.
