GKS Auto becomes official distributor for MG Motor in Jordan

Four new cars launched including the MG3 hatchback, the MG Whale coupe SUV, the sporty MG7 sedan and the MG Cyberster electric sportscar

Chinese automaker MG Motor has announced a new partnership in Jordan with GKS Auto, a subsidiary of GB Corp. This announcement which was made at a ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Amman, brings a strategic business alliance to the automotive sector in the Hashemite Kingdom.

Four cars launched

During the event, which was attended by VIPs, industry experts, customers, and media, MG Motor also announced the launch of four new models for the Jordanian market. These include the brand new MG3 sub-compact hatchback, the radically-styled MG Whale coupe SUV, the even newer, sleek and sporty MG7 sedan and the MG Cyberster, the brand’s first electric convertible sportscar.

MG’s growing presence in Jordan

Since MG Motor’s arrival into the Jordanian market in June 2020, the brand has observed appreciable growth. In 2023, MG Jordan recorded a 99.6% increase in sales from 2022, capturing 10.3% of the market share, with models such as the MG5, MG ZS and MG4 gaining popularity, and the new partnership is expected to further elevate MG Motor’s presence in the Kingdom.
