Ulysse Nardin has just launched two new divers – Diver [Net OPS] and Diver [X Skeleton OPS]. Their roots go back to 2020, when Ulysse Nardin unveiled the Diver Net, a concept watch. It was promptly made commercially available, confirming Ulysse Nardin’s “innovative spirit” and their commitment to sustainability. Ulysse Nardin has worked with high-tech startups and environmental advocates to build expertise “into finding new innovative materials and technologies to raise awareness about environmental responsibility.”
The Diver [Net OPS] and Diver [X Skeleton OPS] continue the journey started by the original Diver Net concept watch. The “Ops” is short for “operations” and first used in the Freak Ops of 2023. Both the Diver [Net OPS] and Diver [X Skeleton OPS] add to Ulysee Nardin’s “Ops” capsule collection. They pay tribute to Ulysee Nardin’s in-house watchmaking while at the same time, enrich its adventurous diver lineage.
Diver [Net OPS]
The Diver [Net OPS] “is a high-performance timepiece” and considered the most sustainable sports watch with an in-house calibre available in the market.
Functions and Dial
Its functions are:
– Central hours and minutes.
– Small seconds subdial at 6 o‘clock.
– Date window at 6 o’clock.
– Power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock.
It features a sandblasted khaki green dial.
– The “X” on the dial is embossed and features a satin finish.
– The hour and minute hands, small second hand, and power reserve indicator hand are all rhodium-finished and coated with beige Super-Luminova®.
– The hour-markers are rhodium-finished (except for 1, 5, 6, 7 and 11 o’clock) and each coated in beige Super-Luminova®.
Calibre
It is powered by in-house mechanical automatic calibre UN-118. Its features include:
– Silicon balance spring. (Silicon is an advance material first introduced in watchmaking by Ulysse Nardin in 2001.)
– Escapement wheel and anchor coated in DiamonSil. (DiamonSil is “a patented ultra-high tech form of diamond coated silicon that delivers exceptional precision and durability.” )
– It comprises of 260 parts, 50 jewels and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph or 4 Hz.
– It has a power reserve of 60 hours.
Case
Its case has the following features:
– Its middle case and calibre holder are made of 95% recycled stainless steel.
– Its side parts and caseback are made of Nylo® (60%) and Carbonium® (40%). (“Nylo is a polyamide formed from upcycled fishing nets, while Carbonium® is a cutting-edge material with exceptional strength-to-lightness properties that is produced using the same carbon fibres found in state-of-the-art aircraft wings and fuselages.” )
– Its concave rotating bezel is made of Carbonium®.
– It features a domed sapphire glass on its dial side, and a sapphire glass on its caseback side.
– It has a case diameter of 44 mm and a case thickness of 14.81 mm.
– It is water resistant up to 300 metres.
Strap and Buckle
Two strap versions are available – Fabric and Rubber.
– Khaki green fabric strap, partially made from upcycled fishing nets.
– Khaki green rubber strap, featuring a black ceramic “Ulysse Nardin” component at 6 o’clock.

Diver [X Skeleton OPS]
The Diver [X Skeleton OPS] “is an avant-garde reimagining of a dive watch as a piece of haute horlogerie.” It comprises sustainable materials, an open dial, and an in-house skeletonised calibre.
Functions and Dial
Its functions are:
– Central hours, minutes, and seconds.
It features an “X” shaped open dial, offering a glimpse of its in-house skeletonised calibre.
– The ‘X’ is made of black PVD, featuring a polished and satin finish.
– The barrel cover at 12 o’clock is made of Carbonium®. (“Carbonium® is a cutting-edge material with exceptional strength-to-lightness properties that is produced using the same carbon fibres found in state-of-the-art aircraft wings and fuselages.” )
– The hour and minute hands and the tip of the seconds hand are coated in beige Super-Luminova®.
– The 12 hour markers are coated in in beige Super-Luminova®.
Calibre
It is powered by in-house mechanical automatic skeleton calibre UN-372. Its features include:
– Its oversized oscillator, escapement wheel, anchor and balance spring are all made of silicon. (Silicon is an advance material first introduced in watchmaking by Ulysse Nardin in 2001.)
– It comprises of 171 parts, 23 jewels and beats at a frequency of 21,600 vph or 3 Hz.
– It has a power reserve of 72 hours.
Case
Its case has the following features.
– Its case is made of black DLC titanium, featuring a sandblasted and satin finish.
– Its concave unidirectional rotating bezel is made Carbonium®.
– It features a domed sapphire glass on its dial side, and a black DLC titanium open sapphire caseback.
– It has a case diameter of 44 mm and a case thickness of 15.70 mm.
– It is water resistant up to 200 metres.
Strap and Buckle
Two strap versions are available – Fabric and Rubber.
– Khaki green fabric strap with scratch closing, partially made from upcycled fishing nets.
