Emirates Confirms Where It’ll Fly Its New A350 First
By the end of March 2025, the airline is expected to have 10 A350 in its fleet.
Dubai-based carrier Emirates is expected to receive 10 new Airbus A350s by the end of March 2025. However, the first specimens should join the airline’s fleet as early as September this year. So, Emirates has announced the list of the first nine destinations that will be served on its brand-new A350 aircraft.
The first Emirates A350 will take its first commercial flight to Bahrain on September 15, 2024. It’ll operate on the daily EK839/840 service. The frequency of A350 flights will progressively increase to cover two Bahrain services starting November 1, 2024. From September 16, 2024, Emirates will begin operating an A350 on the daily EK853/854 service to Kuwait. Similarly, the daily service to Muscat – EK866/867 – will also be served by an A350 beginning December 1, 2024.
Moving outside the Middle East/GCC region, Emirates will begin flying its A350 aircraft to Mumbai (EK502/503) and Ahmedabad (EK538/539) from October 27, 2024. The carrier has also confirmed that Colombo’s fourth daily service (EK654/655) will be served by an A350 from January 1, 2025.
Emirates will deploy its A350 aircraft in Europe to Lyon and Bologna from December 1, 2024. The airline confirms that Edinburgh will rejoin its network of European destinations and that, too, will be served by an A350.
Emirates will receive the first 10 A350 with a three-class layout: 32 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats. The inclusion of the Premium Economy section means Emirates will introduce that class on the Middle East/GCC routes for the first time.
The carrier confirms that bookings to all A350 destinations mentioned above can be made from today via its official website, the Emirates App, or via travel agents. Emirates has 65 A350-900s on order. These new aircraft will play a crucial role in Dubai’s D33 economic agenda set out by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to add 400 cities to Dubai’s foreign trade map over the next 10 years.
