Tag Heuer Novelties at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024

An evolution of the iconic Carrera Chronograph, a Carrera Chronograph Skipper in gold, three new Carrera Date in precious materials, and an all-new Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph.

Tag Heuer has revealed seven timepieces during Watches and Wonders Geneva, which was held during April 9th – April 15th, 2024.

These include the Carrera Chronograph, Carrera Chronograph Skipper, Carrera Date 36mm (three versions) and Monaco Split-Seconds “Rattrapante” Chronograph (two versions).


Carrera Chronograph

First introduced in 1963, having celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2023, and renown in the world of chronographs, the Carrera Chronograph, also known as “Panda”, blends “historical reverence with cutting-edge design, propelling the renowned Carrera collection to new heights from heritage inspiration of the 1960s 7753 SN timepiece.”

Its functions are hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and chronograph. It is powered by mechanical in-house automatic bi-directional calibre Heuer 02 (Ref. TH20-00), that has 33 jewels, beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph or 4 Hz, and has a power reserve of 80 hours.

Its case is crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished. Its 3 rows bracelet is crafted in steel. The bracelet’s folding clasp is crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished. It has a case diameter of 39 mm and a case thickness of 13.86 mm. Its case has a bezel free construction and features a glassbox domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment.

Carrera Chronograph Skipper

Returning to the world of yachting with a steel version in 2023, this new version of the Carrera Chronograph Skipper features a case crafted in 18K 5N rose gold. Its colours of green, orange and teal pay homage to the original Skipper Reference 7754 of 1968.

Its functions are hours, minutes, small seconds, date, chronograph, and Regatta count-down. It is powered by mechanical in-house automatic bi-directional winding calibre Heuer 02 (Ref. TH20-06), that features a column wheel chronograph with vertical clutch. It has 33 jewels, beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph or 4 Hz, and has a power reserve of 80 hours.

Its case is crafted in 18K 5N solid rose gold, fine brushed and polished. It comes with a blue fabric strap with a 18K 5N solid rose gold, fine brushed and polished, pin buckle. It has a case diameter of 39 mm and a case thickness of 13.9 mm. Its case has a bezel free construction and features a glassbox domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment.

Carrera Date 36mm

Building on the 36mm version launched in 2023, these three new timepieces “are a manifestation of understated femininity.” They incorporate precious metals such as 18K 5N rose gold, Mother-of-Pearl, and diamonds.

Their functions are hours, minutes, seconds, and date. All three are powered by Tag Heuer’s latest automatic calibre 7, that features a power reserve of 56 hours.

– Version with White Mother-of-Pearl dial features a flange set with 76 diamonds (0.288 carats), and 18K 5N rose gold plated elements on its dial. Its case, H-shaped bracelet and double-folding clasp are crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished. It has a case diameter of 36 mm and a case thickness of 10.60 mm.

– Version with Copper snailed brushed dial features 18K 5N rose gold plated elements on its dial. Its case features an18K 5N solid rose gold polished fixed bezel, and an 18K 5N solid rose gold crown. Its case is crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished. Its H-shaped bracelet is crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished, and features 18K 5N solid rose gold elements. Its double-folding clasp is crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished. It has a case diameter of 36 mm and a case thickness of 10.20 mm.

– Version with White Mother-of-Pearl dial features a flange set with 76 diamonds (0.288 carats) and features 11 VS grade diamonds (0.22 carats) and 18K 5N rose gold plated elements on its dial. Its case features an18K 5N solid rose gold polished fixed bezel, and an 18K 5N solid rose gold crown. Its case is crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished. Its H-Shaped bracelet is crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished, and features 18K 5N solid rose gold elements. Its double-folding clasp is crafted in steel, fine brushed and polished. It has a case diameter of 36 mm and a case thickness of 10.60 mm.

Monaco Split-Seconds “Rattrapante” Chronograph

An all-new release, the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph “represent a noteworthy achievement in marrying tradition and innovation in the world of Haute Horlogerie d’Avant Garde.”  It is available in both a red and a blue edition.

Its functions are hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph, and split-seconds function. It is powered by the all-new mechanical automatic split-seconds chronograph calibre TH81-00. Created in partnership with the renown Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, and crafted entirely in grade-5 titanium, it is one of the lightest automatic chronograph calibres created by Tag Heuer. It has 52 jewels, beats at a high frequency of 36,000 vph or 5 Hz, and has a power reserve of 65 hours (chronograph off) and 55 hours (chronograph on).

It has a case diameter of 41 mm and a case thickness of 15.2 mm. Both the red and blue versions are rich in details.

– The red version’s case is crafted in a black DLC fine brushed and sandblasted and polished titanium. It comes with a hand-stitched red calfskin strap embossed with a fabric pattern. Its butterfly folding clasp is crafted in fine-brushed titanium and features a black DLC pin buckle.

– The blue version’s case is crafted in fine-brushed, sandblasted, and polished titanium. It comes with a hand-stitched blue calfskin strap embossed with a fabric pattern. Its butterfly folding clasp is crafted in fine-brushed titanium and features a pin buckle.
