EMAAR Partners With BMW Group For EV Charging Stations

UAE’s EMAAR has partnered with BMW Group Middle East to strengthen the network of EV charging points in the country. According to the agreement, the latter will install EV charging points across the former’s prime locations, including residential and public areas. Over 25 EMAAR projects will get EV charging points in 2024 as per the paperwork signed by both parties during COP28 UAE – an event where BMW Group was the VIP e-mobility provider. The first phase of the partnership will witness the installation of more than 50 EV charging points. Besides partnering with EMAAR, the BMW Group Middle East is working with UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure to construct fast charging stations nationwide. The plan includes building a robust charging station network on federal roads and destinations with 30 DC and 150 AC chargers.
