Mahindra Aerostructures Bags New Airbus Contract

A new contract has been signed between Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt. Ltd. (MASPL) and Airbus Aerostructures GmbH. It is for the former to manufacture and deliver metallic components for all Airbus commercial aircraft, including the hugely popular A320 family. The Indian company, which has its plant near Bengaluru, will supply nearly 5,000 variants of metallic components to Airbus Germany.

The new contract further expands business ties between the two companies. MASPL has been a direct supplier to Airbus Group since 2015. It has also partnered with the Toulouse-based aircraft manufacturer on various initiatives. Furthermore, MASPL has been recognised as a D2P “Challenger” for three years in the Sheet Metal domain. The company has also been categorised as level “A” in the Airbus Industrial Process Capability Assessment and bagged the “Best Performer” award in the 2023 Airbus Supplier Quality Improvement Program.
