All Nippon Airways And ITA Airways Sign Codeshare Agreement

Japan’s largest airline, All Nippon Airways (ANA), and Italy’s national carrier, ITA Airways, have inked a codeshare agreement that will come into effect from January 24, 2024. As is the case with such mutual partnerships, both airlines will be able to offer enhanced connectivity via Rome Fiumicino and Tokyo Haneda airports.

All passengers of both carriers will be able to travel to their desired destination on a single ticket. Those travelling on ANA will have Rome as their entry point into Italy. However, their “NH” marked ticket will allow them to connect to five other Italian locations – Bologna, Venice, Turin, Florence and Naples. Similarly, ITA will mark their codesharing tickets with “AZ”, allowing passengers to travel to Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Itami, Kansai, Okinawa and Sapporo via Tokyo.

The duo is mulling to expand their codeshare partnership further, which will open more destinations for travellers.
