The future Mercedes E-Class will offer the MBUX Hyperscreen as an option

It will be the first ICE Mercedes to feature the impressive dashboard

Mercedes’ sensational MBUX Hyperscreen, which transforms the dashboard into a glass surface with three screens, was introduced over a year ago and has until now been the exclusive preserve of the EQ electric models. The EQS limousine debuted it, followed by the EQE sedan and then the EQS SUV and EQE SUV. The very impressive system is expected to be introduced soon in the upcoming E-Class for economic reasons.

Developing a technology involves a significant investment of time and money. The costs of the MBUX Hyperscreen should therefore be recovered on models equipped with this spectacular digital panel. The problem is that the extra costs are also passed on to the customer, as the system requires an extremely large extension that many buyers are not prepared to accept.

Mercedes decided to move this technology downmarket and proposed to install the MBUX Hyperscreen on the next E-Class, which is more popular than the EQ models. This will make it the brand’s first thermal model to feature the MBUX Hyperscreen. The system configuration is expected to be similar to that already present on EQ vehicles, with three screens grouped under a glass panel.

This option will be available when the new E-Class goes on sale at the end of 2023. However, don’t expect to see this feature on smaller models due to its prohibitive cost. The C-Class, and the A-Class, will not have it. Logically, the S-Class, as the brand’s historic flagship, could also soon receive this famous MBUX Hyperscreen.
