The Langen Lightspeed boasts a striking yet elegant neo-retro cafe racer aesthetic, shaped by carbon fibre bodywork such as a sculpted tank and tail section. The exposed raw high tensile chrome-moly steel trellis frame brilliantly contrasts the carbon fibre bodywork along with twin titanium exhaust and circular headlight cowl, evoking raw British racer spirit from the 1960s.
What are the chassis and suspension highlights?
The Langen Lightspeed features an exposed laser-cut tubular steel spaceframe chassis, suspended through a fully adjustable 48mm Öhlins FGRT 301 USD forks upfront and adjustable twin Öhlins STX piggyback shocks at the rear. The motorcycle rides on a exequsite forged and CNC-machined aluminum wheels.
While the braking duties are handled by HEL Performance radial monobloc callipers, clamping twin 320mm front floating discs and a 265mm rear solid disc, offering optimum braking support.
What sort of electronics are on offer?
The Langen Lightspeed features bespoke in-house electronics components offering custom Langen ECU software. The Lightspeed is equipped with three riding modes (Sport, Touring, Rain), Advanced 6-axis IMU based rider aids such as wheelie control, launch control, cruise control, and Bosch 2-channel cornering ABS with rear lift mitigation. Additionally, the bike also features a Smiths industries touchscreen based analog OLED gauge cluster.
What powers the 2026 Langen Lightspeed?
At its heart lies a liquid-cooled 1191cc DOHC 72-degree transverse V-twin engine, built by Buell Motorcycles in Michigan, tuned by Langen. This V-Twin is capable of producing 185 hp at 10,600 rpm and a peak 138 Nm torque at 8,200 rpm, paired with a slick 6-speed transmission. The highlight of the engine is the custom electronic throttle body designed by Langen.
How exclusive is the Langen Lightspeed production?
The Langen Lightspeed is strictly limited to 185 hand-built units. The Lightspeed embodies Langen’s “one bike, one rider” ethos, allowing riders to tailor their Lightspeed according to their wishlist.
