Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival announces initial entries for the 2023 season

Renowned for gathering some of the most iconic racing cars from the yesteryears of motorsport, the 2023 season of Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival will witness more glorious machines being added to its highly illustrious list. The first of the lot comprises the return of the Williams FW07C from last season and a new entrant in Tyrrell 011 for the upcoming season’s Formula One 70s category. The Le Mans 00s category will witness demonstration runs from GT and Sports Prototype cars from 1994 to 2010 and already boasts two confirmed entrants, namely an Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 and a Porsche 996 RS. Pierre-Brice Mena, Managing Director of GP Extreme, said: “We are delighted to announce some of the competitors for this year’s Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival. Williams and Tyrrell are two of the greatest names in motorsport history, and it will be amazing to see their race-winning cars do battle once again. Similarly, Aston Martin and Porsche are two manufacturers that have heads turning around the world, and their respective cars will give fans a taste of sports car majesty.” The 2023 season of Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival will occur between 8-10 December at the Dubai Autodrome. 

Kia EV6 GT Crowned ‘World Performance Car’

The Kia EV6 GT was recognised as the ‘World Performance Car’ at this year’s World Car Awards, an annual event with a jury of over 100 automotive journalists from 32 countries. The announcement came at an awards ceremony during the New York International Auto Show 2023. The Kia EV6 GT is a punchier derivative of the standard EV6, which has also bagged accolades, including the ‘2022 Car of the Year’ and ‘2023 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year’ titles.

Rolls Royce unveils the Spectre EV in Dubai 

The most awaited Rolls Royce has landed on the shores of the Middle East as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dubai, AGMC, unveiled the brand’s first-ever all-electric offering, the Spectre, in Dubai. Touted as the world’s first ultra-luxury electric super coupé, the Spectre will be the most powerful Rolls Royce ever while being a spiritual successor to the Phantom Coupe in design. It will sit on the brand’s new EV-dedicated all-aluminium architecture and be driven on 23-inch wheels, a first for a two-door coupé in production. Specifications are yet to be unveiled, though customer deliveries will commence in Q4 of 2023. Pricing of the Spectre will be slotted between the Cullinan and Phantom.
